Casal é Preso por Suspeita de Assassinar e Queimar Filha Recém-Nascida em Sério, RS
Na manhã desta segunda-feira (20), um casal foi detido em Sério, no Vale do Taquari, sob suspeitas de envolvimento no homicídio de sua filha recém-nascida, ocorrido em setembro do ano passado. A Polícia Civil do Rio Grande do Sul esclareceu o caso após quatro meses de investigações realizadas.
Segundo o delegado responsável pelo caso, um jovem de 19 anos teria dado à luz no banheiro de sua residência no dia 13 de setembro de 2024. Utilizando uma faca de serra, ela teria cortado o pescoço da criança, ainda viva. Após o ato, a mulher limpou o local utilizando o chuveiro e escondeu o corpo do bebê entre panos.
No dia seguinte ao crime, o companheiro do jovem, de 20 anos, teria colocado o corpo da filha em um saco, transportado até um aterro sanitário local, ateado fogo no corpo e descartado os restos mortais em uma área de mata.
O caso veio à tona quando a mulher procurou atendimento médico após o parto. A equipe médica do Hospital da Estrela desconfiou da história apresentada, suspeitando de um possível aborto clandestino, e notificou a polícia. Exames periciais confirmaram que o bebê nasceu vivo e que a mulher não estava em estado puerperal, o que aumentou as suspeitas de homicídio.
A investigação apontou que o crime foi motivado pelo temor da jovem de ser abandonada pelo companheiro, que teria pressionado por um aborto durante a gestação. O casal, que não possuía antecedentes criminais, agora enfrenta acusações de homicídio qualificado, ocultação de cadáver e fraude processual. Ambos foram encaminhados ao sistema prisional, enquanto o caso segue em investigação.
