Dois homens foram presos em Bagé por contrabando de agrotóxico
Na noite de terça-feira (22), a Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) prendeu um brasileiro e um uruguaio em Bagé, após apreender 400 litros de agrotóxicos ilegais na BR-153.
A operação começou com a abordagem de um Jeep Compass com placas de Belo Horizonte, conduzido por um brasileiro de 33 anos. Atrás, havia um Hyundai HB20 com placas uruguaias, dirigido por um uruguaio de 26 anos.
Durante a inspeção do HB20, os policiais encontraram diversos galões com os agrotóxicos no porta-malas e no banco traseiro. O motorista brasileiro admitiu ser o proprietário da carga e revelou que estava em conluio com o uruguaio, que atuava como observador para alertá-lo sobre possíveis fiscalizações.
Ambos foram presos em flagrante e levados à Polícia Judiciária, enquanto os veículos e os agrotóxicos foram apreendidos. A dupla enfrentará acusações de contrabando.
