Ronaldo Fenômeno desiste da candidatura à presidência da CBF após falta de apoio
O ex-jogador e empresário Ronaldo Nazário anunciou, nesta quinta-feira (22), a retirada de sua candidatura à presidência da Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF). A decisão foi comunicada por meio de suas redes sociais, onde ele explicou que não conseguiu o apoio necessário de quatro federações estaduais e quatro clubes, exigência fundamental para viabilizar sua candidatura.
Segundo Ronaldo, sua proposta de gestão visava fortalecer a participação dos clubes no comando do futebol brasileiro, trazendo mais transparência e modernização para a entidade. No entanto, a sua ideia não teve adesão suficiente. Das 27 federações estaduais que poderiam apoiá-lo, 23 rejeitaram suas propostas, dificultando sua entrada na disputa.

Com a saída de Ronaldo da corrida eleitoral, o atual presidente da CBF, Ednaldo Rodrigues, fica sem concorrentes expressivos e ganha caminho livre para buscar a reeleição. O ex-jogador afirmou que, diante desse cenário, respeita a decisão da maioria e declarou apoio a Ednaldo.
“Mesmo sem possibilidade de candidatura, continuo comprometido com o futebol brasileiro e apoiando melhorias que possam torná-lo mais competitivo e transparente”, afirmou Ronaldo.

A candidatura de Ronaldo gerou expectativas, especialmente pela sua experiência como jogador e empresário bem-sucedido à frente do Cruzeiro e do Valladolid, clube espanhol.
